The owner of the puppy that was found
Near Dundalk, Ontario has been found!
Ted wrote "My cousin, who lives
where the puppy was found, called me Wednesday night to say that there was
an ad in the Flesherton Advance newspaper
about a lost 4-month old
Australian Shepherd puppy. This morning, I talked
to the woman who placed the ad. I asked her to send me a picture,
to make sure we were talking about the same dog.
The dog in the picture
is younger and the colouring has changed a bit,
but the markings around the
eyes and forehead confirm in my mind that this is the woman's dog.
We are arranging to
return the puppy, whose name is Emma, tomorrow.
Thank you everybody for helping to find this
puppy's rightful owner!"
Puppy, who turned out to be
Emma, was found wandering on
private property 10-12 km north of intersection of County Road 9 (Dundalk
Rd) & Hwy 10 near
Dundalk, ON

February 9, 2008
About 5-6 months old female
Possibly Australian
Shepherd, no collar or microchip
White/grey body, black spots
& ears, tan face & legs, soft long coat
Friendly, playful,
energetic, intelligent

ON

After six days "lost" from their home in
Castleton, Ontario area (near
Cobourg & Trenton)the boys are safely back home!
Their "Mom" wrote "got a call from the shelter that a man had them, got them
back this morning"!
We'd advised her to notify all the shelters, Human Society, newspapers, radio
stations, put up fliers, and we posted them on this Aussie Rescue
website...obviously it worked!!!!
Oz: Blue merle male with brown eyes, docked tail, neutered
and microchipped. Oz is 3 years and 55lbs, very healthy, agile and
active. His face was symmetrical, very much the same on both sides.
Tazzy: 5 month old blue merle male with brown eyes, docked tail and
unaltered as owners were waiting till over 6 months. He is also microchipped
and will possibly have on an invisible fence collar. Taz weighs
30 lbs, and right now has black freckles on his face and pink on his nose,
he is tall and lanky.
The children were very upset as are the adults of the family
and they are very glad to have their boys home again! Many thanks to
everyone who helped return Oz and Tazzy to their family!

Badger
Leslieville, Alberta ~ March 2006

I've got the jail-house blues, BUT...
I'm such a handsome boy that my Aussie Rescue person remembered me from
when I
was a pup with her friend (my breeder), & between them they tracked down my "Dad"!
I'm back home in safer conditions so I don't wander off again!
Thanks to every who helped reunite me and my Dad!

With many thanks to David Lyon
for his care and concern, we're happy to report that Daisy has been reunited
with her family!
Thank you David, you're
wonderful!!! |

Stolen - Innisfail, Alberta
September 30th, 2004
WILLY IS HOME!! Missing for a week and
dropped off less than one day after being posted on the Aussie Rescue
website!

Willy is a trained hearing dog for his owner and is a well loved part of the
family!
We are very happy for Willy, Eric & Shirley
and wish them all the best!
Shirley credits the wonderful Aussie community with
helping them get Willy back...she thinks that the website posting (shown
below for informational purposes) plus the ad in the central Alberta paper,
lots of posters with Willy's photo and word of mouth scared whomever stole
Willy and they dropped him off at home at 6:30 Thursday morning,
exactly one week after he was stolen! Below is the posting we put on the website and we hope
it helps anyone trying to do a posting for a lost dog:The photo above was used with the place Willy was
missing from and the date of the posting...
Willy was stolen from our yard this morning
-
Male Red Tri Australian Shepherd - white collar mane
marking does not go all the way around his neck on his left side
-
3 years old
-
23 inches tall, approximately 60 pounds
-
5" docked tail & was given a partial scissors body
clip in June but his mane was left alone...so all that white hair is very
full.
-
fussy eater (see info below)
-
quiet and a little shy

He will not eat anything, will probably starve to
death, pukes if upset and very loose bowls if he eats something that upsets
him, he is on Iams chunks with some bread and some milk and some water and a
little barbequed sausage. This is all he eats and the only way he will eat
it.He does not like traffic, trained to NEVER leave the
yard, will high tail it to the house RIGHT now even if I called him out the
gate. Solid on that, so whom ever took him came into the yard. Eric
was right there at the time, blowing out water lines so he did not hear
anything at all, no barking etc. I put him out at 9 am after we had done
our morning 7am chores and came back in. When Eric came in at 10 am (one
hour) he was gone! He does not live outside. Please pass this onto everyone you know, someone has
to know where he is. Please help us find him.Eric & Shirley also offered a $500.00 REWARD for information
leading to the arrest of the person who stole Willy from their yard. They did this at the suggestion of the RCMP detachment and
they think that this also helped make the dog-nappers realize that Willy
wasn't just some "farm dog", he was a well loved member of the family.
In fact so well loved that his owners were going to sell a prized piece of
silver in order to post the reward!!!
