This is Abby, my approximately 11 year old Red-Tri Aussie,
who originates from Ohio. I was very lucky to have adopted her through the
ARPH just over 9 years ago. Her first few days were rough for her, as
she was so scared and confused. She shrunk away from my hand when I went to
pet her and that just broke my heart. Over time, I won her trust and she
just thrived. She never got over her mindset however that every meal was her
last...she obviously didn't do very well fending for herself when she lived
on the streets given her scrawny appearance when I first got her. Abby
had to be euthanized on October 26, 2009, due to countless tumours in her
lungs, secondary to the cancer in her blood stream. I was blessed to have
had her, and the joy and love she gave me can never be measured. The sadness
in my heart can only be replaced by the fact that I know she had a great 9
years with me.
Thank you Abby-Girl for that, and may you have an endless
supply of tennis balls on golden sand beaches up in Heaven. I love you and
miss you.
Thank you so much to ARPH for granting me the opportunity to
adopt this little brown doggy. She brought so much joy to my life and I am
very grateful.

Cooper was only 2 years old, a blue merle male who has epilepsy and needed
his medication regularly.
Cooper went missing from his home and
unfortunately wasn't found until it was too late. Our hearts go out to
his family.

It's with sadness that our beloved rescued "Roxxie"
passed away yesterday at the age of 13 1/2. Roxxie was a blue merle
with a heart of gold. I'm writing this story to express my gratitude
to the Aussie Rescue program through which we met Roxxie when she just 1 1/2
years old.
This is my way of saying goodbye to a
wonderful companion who brought joy to my wife and two daughters now in
University. I believe Roxxie taught our family one of the keys to a
strong
family " love ". She watched over our family with a devotion
which I wish more humans would display.
When someone asks you why they should adopt a
rescued Aussie please tell them of "Roxxie" who brought pure magic to our
family. We plan to take a short break from dog ownership but
we
believe our patience will be rewarded when another set of beautiful eyes
looks at us one again with pure magic.
